The Role
A Good-rated secondary school in Walsall is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their department from February 2026 on a supply basis. The role involves teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support literacy development and strong GCSE outcomes.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to gain consistent classroom experience within a supportive school environment.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS (or be an ECT)
  • Have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident delivering both Language and Literature
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Be organised, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
