The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Chemistry Teacher to join a Birmingham secondary school from March 2026. This long-term supply role involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with a Chemistry specialism at KS5.
You will deliver structured, engaging lessons that build strong practical skills, deepen conceptual understanding and prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations. The role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment and targeted intervention to raise attainment.
 
The Candidate
You must hold QTS or be an ECT with a specialism in Chemistry. Strong subject knowledge up to A-Level is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confident classroom management, the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and a proactive approach to improving student outcomes. Experience teaching KS5 Chemistry is highly desirable.
