Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to work in a Team in Wigan Council.
 
We are delighted to be able to recruit an additional part time Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer to join Wigan’s Independent Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit. 
The Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer will ensure that the Local Authority fulfils its statutory responsibility to undertake a review of the approved foster carers.
The Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer will:
You will have responsibility for the process of reviewing Wigan Children’s Services approved foster carers by organising, advising, and chairing the statutory reviews of foster carers
You will provide advice to foster carers and practitioners and hold a scrutiny and challenge role for ensuring effective assessment, CPD/ training, support and supervision, statutory visiting and achieving positive outcomes for children in their care.
