Employment Type: Temporary (26 Weeks)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid: 4 days office, 1 day work from home)
Start Date: 29th September 2025
Pay Rate: PAYE: £13.17/hour | Umbrella: £16.72/hour
Are you passionate about supporting children, young people, and their families? We’re seeking a dedicated TAF Worker to join a vibrant Social Services team within the Children & Young Peoples Service, Families First. This rewarding role involves delivering high-quality, direct support to families, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners, and promoting positive outcomes in line with national and local standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent, quality support to children, young people, parents, and carers referred to the Families First FACT Service.
- Conduct assessments of need and risk to inform tailored support plans.
- Facilitate and chair multi-agency meetings to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of support plans.
- Engage families using motivational techniques to encourage participation and strengthen relationships.
- Undertake direct work with families under the guidance of your supervisor.
- Escalate safeguarding concerns in line with council policies.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and produce professional reports.
- Contribute to service planning and performance targets.
- Participate in professional supervision and continuous professional development.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS and 5 years of references/work history.
- Confidentiality Agreement and DBS Summary Form.
- Social Care Wales Registration (required upon offer acceptance, not essential at application stage).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social care.
- Strong communication and partnership-working skills.
- A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting families.
