OPS/MVS System Automation Engineer

OPS/MVS System Automation Engineer – 6 month initial contract (Inside IR35 - £475/£500 PAYE) - Remote

Join a global banking organisation delivering critical mainframe automation and monitoring solutions. We’re hiring an experienced OPS/MVS Automation Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale automation across IBM z environments.

The role tasks:

• Build and enhance mainframe automation & monitoring rules
• Administer and support OPS/MVS (Broadcom)
• Troubleshoot incidents & provide production support
• Deliver automation solutions aligned to global standards
• Work with stakeholders to design effective, scalable solutions

To apply you should have the following skills and experience:

• Strong IBM z / Mainframe background (automation focus)
• Experience with OPS/MVS or IBM SA / NetView
• REXX scripting skills
• Solid understanding of incident, problem & change processes
• Proven production support & troubleshooting experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
