We’re looking for experienced, passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dynamic Kinship Fostering Team in South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children within their extended families — offering stability, connection, and lifelong relationships. You’ll work alongside an experienced Team Manager and within a supportive local authority known for its strong team culture and reflective supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this specialist role, you will:

Complete connected persons assessments (Regulation 24, viability, and full fostering assessments)
Support and advise kinship carers, ensuring placements are safe, stable, and well-matched
Contribute to panel presentations and court reports
Work closely with children’s social workers, legal teams, and fostering panels
Ensure compliance with fostering regulations and statutory guidance
Build meaningful relationships with families and promote permanency for children

What We’re Looking For
We need someone who:
✔️ Is a Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
✔️ Has 4+ years' experience in fostering, family placements, or safeguarding
✔️ Understands the legal and practical framework for kinship care
✔️ Is confident in assessment writing, presenting, and court work
✔️ Brings empathy, professionalism, and commitment to every case
✔️ Can work independently and collaboratively across teams
