Elite are proud to be partnering with a leading dealership of construction and heavy plant machinery to support their growth across the Midlands. As part of their expansion, we are looking to recruit two experienced Field Service Engineers to cover the Buxton region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled plant fitter or heavy equipment technician looking to join a well-established dealership representing premium brands. You’ll be working on a full range of heavy plant machinery including large excavators, wheel loaders, and dump trucks, supported by first-class technical training and a strong aftersales network.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine service, maintenance, and emergency repairs on heavy plant equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve complex faults across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Provide excellent on-site service to reduce customer downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance to maximise machine uptime.
• Complete detailed service reports and job documentation in line with company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years’ experience as a mobile plant fitter or field service engineer.
• Strong working knowledge of large excavators, dump trucks, and wheel loaders is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance or Construction Equipment Engineering.
• Background in OEM/dealership environments preferred, though candidates from other sectors with relevant experience will be considered.
• Ability to work independently in the field and deliver high standards of service.
• Full, clean UK driving licence required.
