📍 Location: North London / Hybrid
💼 Contract Type: 3 to 6 month ongoing contract

We’re committed to delivering exceptional housing services where residents come first. As part of our continued drive to support leaseholders, we are seeking a Leasehold Services Officer to join our Home Ownership team and help deliver high-quality, person-centred services.
About the Role This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll work directly with leaseholders, managing a broad caseload that includes Right to Buy applications, lease extensions, sub-letting requests, enfranchisement, and lease enforcement.
Working within a supportive team, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring services are delivered efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with all relevant housing legislation. You'll also play a key role in representing the organisation at First Tier Tribunal hearings when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice and support to leaseholders, ensuring a clear and responsive service.
  • Process applications for Right to Buy, Lease Extensions, Collective Enfranchisement, and Sub-letting.
  • Respond to leasehold enquiries and manage lease enforcement cases.
  • Prepare documentation and provide representation at Tribunals or Court as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, case law, and internal policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to deliver joined-up housing services.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible records and contribute to performance monitoring.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Has a strong understanding of leasehold legislation including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
  • Brings experience in leasehold casework, legal processes, or housing compliance.
  • Demonstrates a resident-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is confident working with a diverse community and understands the importance of inclusion and accessibility.
  • Can manage a varied caseload efficiently, with attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Is IT-literate and confident using databases, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
