Who doesn't love pizza!

This month we visited the new independent pizzeria Smoke and Ash which is just a short walk from our office. After a warm greeting, it was time to get to know the menu and decide what we were going to eat. As the Nduja and Taleggio was a firm favourite we had to order that as well as an accompanying Salami Napoli and the special of the day, the Lamb Kofta with yoghurt dressing.

To put it simply, the food was delicious and the aim to provide top quality Neapolitan-style pizza was certainly achieved. The atmosphere at the venue was great and the open bar and kitchen meant you could see everything going on behind the scenes.

After we all tucked in and enjoyed a couple of accompanying drinks, which were also very good.It was time to decide on our favourite!

Whilst the Nduja pizza is their the No.1 performer and one we very much enjoyed, it was the Salami Napoli that pipped it to take it's place as our favourite.

"Our business inspiration came from a shared love of pizza and 20 years of experience working in alcoholic drinks and hospitality businesses. We recognised an opportunity to provide top quality Neapolitan-style pizza alongside a great quality drinks range.

Our brand name references both our smoking-hot pizza oven and our love of smoky flavours in food as well as cocktails."

"The Chilli + Yuzu Margarita is our signature cocktail and firm favourite!

Food-wise, at the moment our customers can’t get enough of our changing weekly specials. From our permanent menu, the Nduja with Taleggio is a consistent No.1 performer."

  • What do you love about working in the Hospitality industry?
