Material Planning Administrator 

📍 Fully Office-Based | 📅 6-Month Temporary Contract | 💰 Up to £34,000 (pro rata)

I’m currently recruiting for a Material Planning Administrator on behalf of a well-established and fast-paced business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating across departments, and playing a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.

This position sits within a busy materials/planning function and will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with Excel and large volumes of information.

The Role


As a Material Planning Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the material planning team to ensure stock levels are effectively managed and maintained.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Material Planners to maintain adequate stock levels and avoid supply disruptions
  • Updating and maintaining spreadsheets with accurate delivery dates, stock levels, and supplier information
  • Liaising with suppliers via email and telephone to confirm stock availability and delivery schedules
  • Coordinating and collecting data to support planning activities
  • Working closely with internal departments to ensure smooth communication across operations
  • Handling high volumes of data with accuracy and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data
  • SAP knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
