Location: Robertsbridge
Pay: £12.71 – £13.50 per hour
Job Type: Temporary, ongoing PAYE via Pertemps - in future role might become pernament 


 
We are currently seeking committed Warehouse and Weighbridge Operatives to support a busy and fast‑paced site in Robertsbridge. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, well‑established organisation that depends on a flexible workforce to cover holiday, sickness, and periods of increased demand. As a Warehouse and Weighbridge Operative, you will work on a rotating shift pattern that includes both day and night shifts, so adaptability is essential.

Please note: This location cannot be accessed by public transport or on foot. A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.


As a Warehouse and Weighbridge Operative, your duties will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Ensuring goods are handled, stored, and secured correctly
• Maintaining clean and safe working areas in line with site standards
• Following all safety rules and operational procedures
• Operating the weighbridge system and recording vehicle weights accurately
• Overseeing gatehouse access, including checking vehicles in and out
• Supporting site security procedures and maintaining accurate logs
• Assisting drivers and visitors with entry requirements

 
To succeed in the Warehouse and Weighbridge Operative role, you should have:

• Experience within warehousing, distribution, weighbridge operations, or loading bays (desirable but not essential)
• Good physical fitness and confidence with manual handling tasks
• Strong attention to detail and a reliable work approach
• Clear communication skills and a professional attitude
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts
• Your own transport due to the site’s remote location
