Maths Teacher – Part-Time, 2 Days a Week
Are you a QTS Maths Teacher looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity? Do you enjoy helping young people overcome barriers to learning and discover a genuine interest in maths? This small school is looking to add a qualified Maths Teacher to the team to teach students with medical and mental health needs on a 1-2-1 and small group basis. The school is a welcoming environment for staff and students, and you will have access to a wide range of resources.

As a Maths Teacher at this school, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that are tailored to the needs and abilities of your students. Strong subject knowledge is essential for this role as you may be asked to work independently.  The school is looking for a maths teacher with a calm, empathetic approach, who can build positive professional relationships with staff, students and outside agencies. You will be joining an experienced team of teachers and support staff that are committed to ensuring that every child has access to a nurturing and supportive learning environment. This role requires qualified teacher status and is not suitable for an ECT. 

Job Role:
  • Teaching Mathematics on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
  • Planning lessons that are tailored to the needs of students
  • Understanding a range of mental health needs and providing appropriate support for students
  • Working as part of a committed team to ensure every child feels safe and supported
  • Mentoring students and providing pastoral care and support
  • Asses, monitor and record students’ progress
  • Identifying gaps in students understanding of the mathematics curriculum and delivering lessons that aim to bridge the gaps
