Salary: £14 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Morpeth. This full-time role is ideal for someone who has a strong background working with neurodiverse children across EYFS, KS1, KS2 or KS3.
You will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and thrive in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to neurodiverse pupils in small groups or 1:1 settings.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Previous experience working with neurodiverse children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
